Phcum Ben festival


Phcum Ben is a traditional festival in Cambodia. On that day, people always go to pagodas to dedicate to their ancestors. They prepare food for monks to preach for them. Beause they believe that when we give food or something to the monk our ancestors will get that things. At night they go to throw rice balls ( Bayben). Phcum Ben festival celebrate or 15 days. On the first day they always do the same things as I've said above until fourteenth. At the end of Phcum Ben fifteenth day. they go for a walk in the countryside. Some people go to pagodas for the last day, when they finish they go to visit some places.Written by Sreylen.
